LITTLE CYPRESS — The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears dropped their season opener on the road to the Port Neches-Groves Indians 73-39 Tuesday night.

Braden Bridges had an outstanding game for the Bears, pouring in 28 points.

However, Drake Rojas had an even bigger game for the Indians as he poured in a whopping 40 points for the Indians. Noah Marchak had 12 points for the Tribe while Tracy Smith added 11.

The Bears will visit Vidor Friday.
