The Orangefield Bobcats took their show on the road this week to visit the Anahuac Panthers. They took one out of two games with the 7th grade falling 30-14 and the 8th grade finishing undefeated in district 28-0.

The first game of the night was full of electricity with shots being traded back and forth. Caleb Fregia had a big night in the air throwing for close to 100yds. He completed two huge passes to Lawton Bertrand and Mason Houghton which led to the first touchdown of the night. Late in the fourth quarter Kyle Michael decided to leave it all on the field and establish his dominance running the football rushing for over 65yds on four plays before steamrolling his way into the end zone for the last touchdown of the night. Coach Uzzle’s defense came out determined in the second half and gave the Bobcats a chance until the Panthers pulled away late in the game.

The 8th grade squad came out firing on all cylinders with Coach Drouillard and Coach McDonald reaching deep into their bag of trickeration. The Bobcats scored early and often in this one with Brayden Parker leading the way contributing 3 of the 4 touchdowns. Gavin Perri-Koci helped out by making an amazing acrobatic catch to score from 47yds out. Not to be out down was Brady Anderson who got behind the defense on a corner route and snatched the ball out of the clutches of the defensive back trying to cover him. And one of the guys who contributes in every aspect of the game Cameron Dischler played outstanding defense and rushed for his own touchdown from 22yds out. The defense made Coach Legate proud again pitching another shut out on the season and they were lead by the “dragon master” Leyton Loft who played one of his best games of his young career.

The coaches would like to congratulate both of these teams on great seasons especially the 8th grade for going undefeated through district.
