Ethan Garrett Williams

Ethan Garrett Williams, 19, of Orange, Texas passed away Monday, October 29, 2018.

Ethan’s childhood was spent in Orange and Vinton where he attended Emmanuel Christian Academy and Community Christian. Ethan participated in Cub Scouts, baseball, basketball, football and soccer. He moved to Ohio in the 6th grade where he graduated from Meadowbrook High School. During school breaks, he enjoyed spending summers and holidays in Texas with his grandparents. As a teenager, Ethan enjoyed spending time with friends, playing video games and sports, especially basketball with his dad or friends at home or at any local court. Ethan had a charismatic personality and infectious smile and will always be remembered for his caring nature and tender heart, especially for children and those who needed a “helping hand.”

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Heather and Jean’ Fontenot of  Byesville, OH.  and Jason Williams of Orange, TX;  paternal grandparents, Maxie and Midge Williams of Orange; maternal grandparents, Margaret and Phillip Commander of Pleasant City, OH, and Michael Fontenot and Sandy Matte of Eunice, LA; paternal great-grandmother, Marguerite Williams of Brookhaven, MS; two brothers, Trey and Peyton Fontenot; sister, Cora Fontenot; aunt, Destiny Hudson of  Byesville, OH; uncles, Heath (Shila) Detweiler of Fayetteville, N.C., James Williams of Austin and Adam Williams of  Nacogdoches, TX;  nieces, Kenzie and Maddie Fontenot; and cousins, Emma Smith, Lincoln and Landry Williams and numerous friends.

A Celebration of Ethan’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton.  Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 4, at Easthaven Cemetery in Brookhaven, MS. Visitation will be held Friday, November 2, from 4 to 9 pm, and resume Saturday at 8am until time of service all in Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton.
