Motorcycle crash results in auto-ped collision

Two men were treated for serious injuries after a major crash on Sunday.

The City of Orange Fire and Police Departments received a call at approximately 5:45 p.m. Sunday in reference to a motorcycle accident and an auto pedestrian accident in the 800 block of Cordrey Ave. in Orange.

According to a witness on scene, a male was riding his motorcycle when he was hit by a Chevrolet Impala and thrown off of his motorcycle. The driver saw the car coming at him and he attempted to avoid the crash, but could not.

The impact caused the motorcycle to hit a pedestrian walking down the street.

Both victims were knocked into nearby ditches from the impact.

First Responders arrived on scene and assessed the injuries of both patients.

Acadian Ambulance Service transported both of the male victims to the hospital in serious but stable condition.

The driver of the Impala was not injured from the crash and told Police the sun blinded her view.

The case remains under investigation by Orange Police.
