LC-M Bear Band “growling’ to State

LITTLE CYPRESS — The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Battlin’ Bear Band showed their prowess and their skills at the Are Marching Contest in Longview Saturday.
The band was simply amazing and with their efforts, qualified for the State Marching Contest, which will be held Nov. 7 at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
“SO proud of this awesome group of students,” said LC-M Band Director Jose Ochoa. “Thanks to all of the people that supported us along the way and thanks to our Band Boosters that provide so much support for this group. Alamodome, here we come!”
Lumberton will be the other Southeast Texas band from the Area competition that will join LC-M at State along with Spring Hill, Paris and North Lamar.
Also, the Bridge City Band advanced to the area finals and finished in the top 10 at No. 7.
