WOS Elementary School will host Family Literacy Night, Open House Oct. 30

West Orange-Stark Elementary School will host “Family Literacy Night and Open House” Tuesday, Oct. 30, from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. The event welcomes all North Early Learning Center and WOS Elementary students and their families.
The evening will include interactive activities for students and families. It will also include free books for children to take home courtesy of the Southeast Texas Food Bank, a Scholastic Book Fair, book readings by author Melody Roberson and retired Orange County Judge Carl Thibodeaux.
Community vendors will participate in the event. They include HEB, The Orange Public Library, Shangri La Botanical Gardens, the Stark Museum, retired educators and current members of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa’s Epsilon Lambda Chapter, local financial institutions, insurance agencies, Kona Ice, and more.
The students, staff, and community are looking forward to a great evening of literacy fun.
WOS Elementary is located at 2605 MLK Drive in Orange.
