Link Sale for Orange Police Officer
A fundraiser for an Orange Police Officer who was recently diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS). The officer is currently admitted and seeking medical treatment at a Houston hospital. GBS is a rare disorder in which your body’s immune system attacks your nerves. Please come and help us support our officer!! The fundraiser starts at 10 a.m. at Wal-Mart in West Orange. $5 for BBQ Link, chips, and bottled water

 

Fall Festival

Come and join us at MacArthur Heights Baptist Church for our annual Fall Festival from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27. MacArthur Heights Baptist Church is located at the corner of Nightingale and Strickland Drive in Pinehurst. Come to enjoy food, candy, games prizes and rides. For all children through 7th grade.

 

Halloween Spooktacular

The City of Orange Convention and Visitors Bureau will be hosting a Halloween Spooktacular featuring the film Monster House on Saturday, October 27, from 6 – 9 P.M. at the Riverfront Boardwalk and Pavilion.

This event will include trunk-or-treat activities, beginning at 6 P.M. There will be popcorn on site to enjoy while viewing the movie, beginning at 7 P.M. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets.

This event is free to the public, and please note, no dogs or pets will be allowed at the Riverfront Boardwalk and Pavilion.

Fall Festival 2018

Join us for a fun-filled afternoon from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. at 1155 West Roundbunch Road in Bridge City. We will have inflatables, food/drink concessions, snowcones, horse rides, train rides, trunk or treat, and more. Bring a bag to collect your treats!

 

Monday, Oct. 29

Crochet Class

This will be the last class for 2018. Crochet Class at 6:30 p.m. at Orange First Church of the Nazarene, 3810 M.L.K. Jr. Drive in Orange. The class is in the Dining Room behind the church. (Left side of the building)

Please bring a skein of Sports Weight yarn and a G hook. We are working on squares to be assembled into an afghan. You may keep your squares or donate them back. Donated squares will be assembled and donated to a local charity in December.

Ken Thayer Memorial Blood Drive

The annual Ken Thayer Memorial Blood Drive is from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at 201 8th Street in Orange. Please join us for our annual event as we remember Ken on his birthday and donate blood to help save lives.

 

 

Trunk or Treat

Orange First Church of the Nazarene, 3810 Martin Luther King Jr Drive in Orange will host Trunk or Treat at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31. Activities will include candy, games, face painting, jump house, hayride, concessions for sale and more. The event is for the whole family.

 

Octoberfest 2018

Lamar State College-Orange will host Octoberfest 2018 from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct, 30 outside the Student Center. Costume contest starts at 6:15 p.m. for age groups 0-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-11, 12-14, 15-17 and 18+. There will also be ghoulish games, trick o treating, and Best Booth contest. Trunk or Treat

North Orange Baptist Church, 4775 North 16th Street in Orange, is hosting Trunk or Treat from 6-8 p.m. This event is Free to the community and will include free candy, hot dogs, popcorn, inflatables, games, face painting, and information from the community through booths representing Orange County Rebuild. All are invited to a safe family event where we love everybody always!
