The Bobcats kept things rolling with another clean sweet defeating the Hardin Hornets 8-0 and 22-0. With the win it keeps our 8th grade undefeated in district and 4-1 on the season. The seventh grade has shut out their last two opponents to bring their record to bring their overall record to 2-3 while being 2-2 in district.

The seventh grade played in another slug fest with big hits being handed out all over the field. While it was 0-0 at the half the second half is where all the magic happened with Lane Gipson running with reckless abandon and would not be denied entrance into the end zone. He was helped out on his way to the end zone by a long run from Zane Wrinkle who also punched it in for the 2pt conversion. Kyle Michael had another huge night on defense tacking on 13 more tackles to his total for the year. Dustin Helm had a huge play in the first half coming in hot off the edge unleashing the fury on the quarterback allowing Jacob Worthy to recover a fumble. Diego Garcia also contributed a pair of huge sacks that sealed the deal and made sure the Hornets would not score.

After the 7th graders set the tone for the night the 8th grade kept things rolling behind the exquisite play calling of the offensive mastermind Coach Drouillard. Cameron Dischler snatched up the first hand off and literally took 7 Hornets for a ride to the endzone. The offensive line made up of Brady Anderson, Stone Fregia, Ethan Gunter, Rusten Traxler, Koen Maddox, Morgan Sampson and Magnus Downs steam rolled through the Hornets defense all night long and have been clearing paths all year long for our backs. Gavin Perri-Koci kicked on the jets around the end for a 37 yard touchdown run early in the second quarter and that was followed up by Jackson Humplik’s first touchdown in his young Bobcat career. Travis Kessel touched the ball several times tonight and poured on 46 yards of rushing to cap off his night. The defense kept another zero on the score board keeping Hardin out of the endzone and they were lead by Beau Elkins, Leyton Loft, and Kayden Kibodeaux.

Both teams will play next week and taking the show on the road to Woodville to take on the Eagles and keep the winning streak alive.
