Frederick T. “Fred” Currier, Jr., 93, of Orange, Texas, passed away on October 17, 2018, in Beaumont, Texas.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 19, 2018, at First Baptist Church in Orange, Texas. Officiating will be Pastor Barry Bradley. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 18, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Meredith, New Hampshire, on November 14, 1924, he was the son of Frederick Tigh Currier, Sr. and Mildred Pond. Frederick served in the U.S. Army as a 2nd Lieutenant in World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of Kiwanis- Golden K and a longtime member and Deacon of First Baptist Church in Orange. Frederick loved photography and singing. He will be dearly missed by all those who came to know and love him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Mildred Currier, Sr.; grandson, Tanner Sparks; brother, Ronald Currier.

He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Lee “Ellis” Currier; children, Bill Currier and wife Mitzie of Burkeville, Denise Campbell and husband Leslie of Waxahachie, and Theresa Sparks and husband Jay of Orange; five grandchildren, Cody Thompson, Dane Campbell, Nathan Campbell, Jennifer Sparks, and Eric Sparks; and 10 great-grandchildren, Haley, Nicklos, Zachary, LeAnne, Patrick, Natalie, Hannah, Caroline, Gunner, and Maverick.
