A Night of Jazz

Orange African American Museum is planning a Night of Jazz featuring Saxophonist Perry Richard from 8 p.m. – Midnight on Saturday, Oct. 27 at the3 VFW Hall located on State Hwy. 87 north in Orange.
The inaugural fundraising event is to help raise funds for renovations on the building for the museum.
Perry Richard, originally of Orange and accomplished saxophonist, will perform during the event.
“He can play all the Kenny G music,” Orange African American Museum President Henry Lowe said. “He is really talented.”
Lowe also added Barbara Lynn would be present at the event.
“I told her we need her help,” Lowe said. “We can’t afford to hire her. So she will be present but not performing.”
Barbara Lynn, of Beaumont, is an American rhythm and blues and electric blues guitarist, singer and songwriter.
Lynn was given a Pioneer Award by the Rhythm and Blues Foundation in 1999.
Sponsored tables are $100 and tickets are $15 per person.
