OFJH results

The Bobcats were on the road last night against the Buccaneers and both the 7th and 8th grade squads came away victorious.

The 7th grade captured their first win on the year shutting out East Chambers 6-0. It was a regular clash of the titans all afternoon as the defenses were both slugging it out. The lone score on the afternoon came from Mason Houghton on a short scamper into the endzone. Lane Gipson could not be stopped all night as he carried the load for the Bobcats on offense totaling close to 100 yds rushing on the afternoon. The stout defense was led by Kyle Michael who had double digit tackles and continues to impress as the year progresses.

The 8th grade kept things rolling with another victory 16-14 scoring in the last 40 seconds of the game to remain undefeated in district. Both teams fought hard all night until Cameron Dischler decided to take matters into his own hands and rack up close to 163 yds and a touchdown on the night. Other offensive standouts were Brayden Parker and Brady Anderson who connected on a 47 yd touchdown pass to set the tone for the game. The defense made a key stop in the fourth quarter to give the Bobcats another shot to win the game and they were led by Ethan Gunter and Leyton Loft.

Both teams will look to continue their success at home against Hardin on Thursday.
