Man arrested for possession of meth

PRESS RELEASE — On Tuesday, September 25th 2018 at approximately 11:00PM, Investigators with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division were working in the area of North 105 at Highway 1131.

Investigators observed a white in color Nissan pick-up truck traveling north on Highway 105. The subject vehicle was observed traveling partially in the turning lane and was then observed to travel onto the shoulder of the roadway.

A traffic stop was conducted and a white male identified as Christopher Cox was found to be the driver.

A search of the vehicle revealed approximately 290 grams of methamphetamine in the vehicle.

Cox was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance a felony of the first degree and transported to the Orange County Sheriff’s Correctional Facility.

Precinct 1 Judge Stagner Cox’s bond at $125,000.  31 year old Cox shows an address out of Winnie, Texas.
