City Manger Dr. Shawn Oubre officially submitted his letter of resignation on Sept. 17, 2018 by mail.

City Council members received the letter on Wednesday, which stated his last day will be Oct. 12, 2018.

“I appreciate the opportunities that have been given during my time with the City, as well as your guidance and support,” Oubre wrote. “I wish you and the citizens of Orange the best success in the future.”

Oubre notified the council recently that he was on the short list for a city manager position in Woodway. He has since been selected for the position.
