PRESS RELEASE — Let’s see what’s been going on in our great county.

Received a call where family members had not seen an uncle for four or five days. We took a missing person’s report and contacted all the media outlets. Low and behold he called in and said he was not missing and wanted to be left alone. O.K.

We are looking for a couple guys who stole a side by side on FM 2460. Officer Havard was going home when he got behind a truck pulling it. When he turned on his overhead lights they bailed out. Havard did however arrest the driver. He is now in our Jail.

We are investigating two burglaries up off FM 692 North Burkeville. We arrested a male and a female and we are still looking for two more. Recovered good bit of the property

that was stolen.

We had several calls about a family feud. A man passed away with no will. Several family members want some of the deceased person’s property. Very heated. Not much we can do, It’s a civil matter. By the way, get your will before you die, it makes things easier for the family.

Received a 911 call from a mom saying her daughter had been kidnapped and was being held against her will. Everyone responded. Make a long story short, he took her home. We got him located, he ran and wrecked his car. He also sideswiped a patrol car. He is now in the woods running from us. Charges pending.
