Breaking ground on new projects in Orange

Real estate developer The ITEX Group and residential developer DSLD Homes are close to breaking ground on the expansion of a single-family development planned for Orange.

The construction of the single-family development will soon begin its first phase, which is scheduled to construct 21 homes and DSLD has also committed to an additional 40 homes in the second phase. The extension of homes will be added to Cypresswood Village, a residential community along highway 87 at Cypresswood Drive.

“DSLD Homes is excited to make Orange our first entry into the Texas Market, and we are looking forward to serving the residents of the surrounding area,” Brandon Jones, Area Manager – DSLD Homes, said.

DSLD plans to develop homes that include; Granite Counter Tops, Stainless Steel Appliances, Gas Fireplaces, Tankless Gas Water Heathers and Wood Look Tile Flooring.

Home prices are expected to start in the $180s

Students in the area attend the Bridge City Independent School District.

While relatively new to Orange market, DSLD Homes ranked as one of the top 30 homebuilders in the nation, according to a press release.

  • 2013 National Housing Quality Award – Silver Recipient
  • 2015 National Housing Quality Award- Gold Recipient

“The City of Orange welcomes the opportunity to partner with the ITEX Group and DSLD Homes to bring new single-family residential development to the market. The Cypresswood Village residential development will meet current and future housing needs to support the demand in the market,” Director of Economic Development Jay Trahan said.

President of The ITEX Group Chris Akbari said, in a previously published article, the area did not flood and the company was confident it would sell more high quality homes there.
