BEAUMONT — The Orangefield Lady Bobcats got off to a flying start to open district play Friday as they belted the Warren Lady Warriors 25-10, 26-24, 25-12.

Faith Fregia notched 23 digs to go along with five kills and three aces. Bailee Click claimed 10 kills, nine digs and two blocks.

Lily Saucedo notched 25 digs and an ace. Devany Crain posted 10 digs and six kills. Tiffany Ciangalione collected 19 assists while Mackenzie Davis added 10 while Madison Greenway added nine kills.

The Lady Bobcats went undefeated in pool play Thursday at the YMBL Tournament. They defeated Newton in two sets (25-17), (25-19). They then defeated High Island in two sets (25-11), (25-14). To end the day they beat Buna in 3 sets after dropping the first one (24-26), (25-20), and (15-13).  Leaders on the day were: Carissa Hebert with 3 aces ; Bailee Click with 9 blocks, 17 kills; Lily Saucedo 41 digs; Faith Fregia 36 digs and 11 kills; Devany Crain 13 kills; Madison Greenway 12 Kills; Mackenzie Davis 32 assists; Tiffany Ciangalione 25 assists.
