It’s rodeo time and Cowboy Church of Orange County is ready.
The fourth annual Pro Rodeo will be held at a new location this year due to weather conditions.
It will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7 and Saturday, Sept. 8, at Tin Top 2 Arena & Event Center located at 3810 Old Peveto Road in Orange. It is approximately two miles from the church.
“We are moving to a covered arena this year,” Pastor Dale Lee said. “It’s going to be a good rodeo.”
Lee added the event is open to the public and family friendly.
“Registration for the event ends today [Tuesday], so we don’t know how many participants at this time,” Lee said.
Nightly events include Calf Scramble for 12 and under, Sheep Scramble for 6 and under, and Mutton Bustin’ for 5 and under.
Price for adults is $10 and for kids 12 and under, tickets are $5.
Also scheduled is Bareback, Tie Down, Steer Wrestling, Ladies Breakaway, Saddle Bronc, Barrel Racing, Team Roping and Bull Riding.
The event is sanctioned by UPRA/ CPRA/ LRCA / TBRA and a SYJ Rodeo Production.
