Franshanette Marshall was born and raised in Orange. She is the daughter of Frances Harris and has four children Shamyra, Tamyra, Paige and Steven.
She graduated from West Orange-Stark High School in 1998 and attended Central Texas College.
In 2001, she started working for the Texas Department of Criminal at the Mountain View Unit and was then transferred to Beaumont Mark Stiles Unit in 2002.
Marshall, being a single parent, worked various jobs to provide for her family, but it was while she was unemployed in 2011 that she discovered her crafty side.
“My mom was always crafty and had many talents,” Marshall told me one day at her mother’s house. “My curiosity for doing crafts such as chocolate covered strawberries or cake toppers etc. came from her.”
As she was exploring her crafty side, she took online courses with the University of Phoenix to obtain her degree in Criminal Justice.
She is currently an Administrative Assistant for Katoen Natie at DuPont Sabine River Works in Orange.
“Even though I work fulltime, I still want to pursue my business of sweets and crafts on line,” Marshal stated to me.
B. Sweet Treats & Crafts will be her online business and she gives tremendous credit to her mother who often keeps her company while she works on her creations.
Franshanette Marshall Orange, Texas is very proud of you and keep up the great work. Keep us yearning for more delicious treats!
