PRESS RELEASE – It has to slow down around here or it’s going to turn me into an old man. Let’s see what’s been going on.

School has started in all three school districts here in the county. Please be watchful while in the school zones. The kids are our future. Also, be watchful of the school buses loading and unloading these kidos.

The body of Ashley Southern was located approximately 700 feet inside Orange county. She was last seen at the end of Indian Lake road a few feet from the Newton Orange county line. The autopsy showed no trauma. Orange county is doing the investigation.

There was two house fires in Indian Lake area. Both fires are under investigation. Could very well be arson. Anyone with information on these fires please give us a call.

We recovered the stolen new Holland side by side. Bad guy in jail in Sabine county but not talking. We have information where the rest of the stolen items could be.

We had a fatal motorcycle accident Friday evening. Also, we have had five major accidents in the county this last week. Thanks to the first responders who assist the victims.
