LITTLE CYPRESS — The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears opened up their 2018 volleyball campaign with a 25-17, 25-11, 25-14 victory over the Deweyville Lady Pirates at The Bear Cave Tuesday night.

Renna Toomey paced the Lady Bear offense with 11 kills while Ally White had seven, Kodee Ferguson four and Chelsea Perry three.

Perry was strong at the net, snaring seven blocks while White had five and Toomey and Alyssa Ammons had three apiece.

Morgan Weaver set up the offense well with 20 assists while Zoe Levens contributed six. Weaver also led the way with digs with 14. Toomey had 13 while Raley Broussard had eight and White seven. Toomey also put together seven aces while Perry chimed in with three.
