PRESS RELEASE — Please remember Ross and Peggy Talmadge of Buna in your prayers. Anyone with any information about their daughter, Jessica’s death, please contact any police agency.

Deputy Duncan received a stolen pistol. The call came in as a man shot himself. Didn’t happen. He was arrested for assault and possession of stolen firearm. Late that day Deputy Kite recovered another stolen pistol from the same residence. Both pistols stolen from Orange county.

We received a 911 call where a lady was having a baby on the side of the road. We had three officers close. They got there in time. The daddy was the real hero. However, Deputy Cathey, Deputy Blueitt and Chief Jackson were there helping. Don’t know if I could have stayed hitched. Baby and mom transported to hospital and both mom and baby doing well. Dad and officers not so!

A 15-year-old boy jumped on his mom. When we got there, he had already left. He came back the next day and we picked him up. He needed to be taken behind the wood shed instead of juvenile detention.

Gotta go: Thought for the week: Love doesn’t make the world go around. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile. Ya’ll have a good week and if we can help, just holler. God Bless.
