Man found on road, bleeding on Sunday

Orange Police found a man laying in the roadway and a puddle of his own blood early Sunday morning.

Orange Police Officer N. Medina was dispatched around 2 a.m. to the 2900 block of 17th Street in reference to a injured man bleeding on side of the road.

Upon arrival on scene officers located Kenneth Derouen, of Orange, bleeding in the middle of the road.

Acadian Ambulance Service arrived on the scene and assessed the patient and he was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in unknown condition.

The case remains under investigation by the Orange Police Department and Detective Tim Pruitt is the lead investigator.
