Woman found on side of Hwy. 12 dies from her injuries

Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers are trying to determine how a woman was injured
after she was found on side of State Highway 12 and Farm to Market Road 1136 in Mauriceville.
DPS Troopers responded to the area at 7:15 a.m. on Saturday and found a 29-year-old Buna woman injured and lying on the shoulder of State Hwy. 12.
The victim has been identified as Jessica Renea Talmadge.
During the investigation there were no other vehicles around or signs of crash debris.
An Acadian Air Rescue Helicopter responded to the scene and transported the victim to St. Elizabeth Hospital with serious injuries. Talmadge did not survive her injuries and was pronounced deceased by medical personnel early Monday morning.
Troopers are still working to determine how the woman was injured and the investigation is on going by DPS Troopers.
