Police search for man involved in robbery

Officers with the City of Orange Police Department were dispatched at 8:54 p.m., Sunday, in reference to an aggravated robbery at SunMart Convenience Store located at 333 Lutcher Drive in Orange.
Upon arrival, Officer Ryan Casey met with the clerk and she stated she had been robbed by a unknown black male displaying a weapon.
The clerk complied with the robber’s demand and he left the store with an undetermined amount of currency on foot southbound towards Simmons Drive.
A search of the area by officers proved fruitless according to a press release from the Orange Police Department.
The case remains under investigation by the Orange Police Department at this time.
