A 29-year-old tree trimmer was killed Saturday when he accidentally came in contact with a power line while cutting down trees.

Roland Kaderli was pronounced deceased Saturday by Justice of the Peace Precinct 3 Judge Simonton.

Orange Police and Fire Departments along with Acadian Ambulance were dispatched to 508 Hydrangea in Orange in reference to a male who had been electrocuted at 12:23 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

First responders arrived on scene in less than five minutes and found the victim hanging in the tree. Entergy line crews responded to the scene and disconnected the power.

Fire fighters were able to remove the victim from the tree with the use of an Entergy bucket extension.

According to a family friend on the scene he says the whole situation was a freak accident and Roland was a very smart loving man who knew his work and was a hard working man.

The Investigation remains on going by the Orange Police Department.

Justice of the Peace Precinct 3 Judge Simonton has ordered an autopsy.
