The reason we are expecting a lot of rain Tuesday and Wednesday is thanks to a weak, broad low pressure area and surface trough. The National Hurricane Center only gives this system a very low 10% chance for development before it reaches southeast Louisiana on Tuesday. This is not something to worry about from the perspective of strong winds or tropical development. The primary concern is the rainfall.
