We are still monitoring a cluster of showers and thunderstorms over the western Caribbean Sea and Yucatan Peninsula. The National Hurricane Center only gives this a very low 10% chance for development. This system will be in our region by Sunday.
The primary focus is not tropical development, but the potential for excessive rainfall, beginning Sunday into next week. Some locations could see 2 to 4 inches of rain. In the heavier rain, some flooding can be expected.
