NWS Lake Charles weather update: Thu 6.14.18

A series of tropical waves will be in the Gulf of Mexico, causing higher rain chances for our region through the weekend into early next week. Rain totals of 2 to 4 inches can be expected, with locally higher amounts. In the heaviest rains, expect to see some flooding.
Rain chances will slowly decrease by the middle to end of next week.
Due to the rain, high temperatures will be near normal, while low temperatures will be above normal.
Tides will run about a foot above normal due to the strong onshore flow through early next week.
