The National Hurricane Center gives the disorganized surface trough in the western Caribbean Sea a near zero chance for tropical development through Thursday, and only a low 20 percent chance Friday through the weekend in the Bay of Campeche.
For us locally, we are still expecting a wet weekend, especially Sunday, continuing into early next weekend. Two to four inches of rain is expected. Locally heavier rains could cause flooding, so stay alert for warnings during periods of heavy rains. Tides will likely run a foot above normal this weekend into next week as well.
