UPDATE: Interstate 10 westbound is closed west of State Highway 62 at the milepost 872.
All traffic is being diverted to the Northbound service road while crews work to clean up a spill that was caused by a box truck leaking fuel

Travelers heading towards Beaumont may need to find another route as, at approximately 3 p.m. today, Interstate 10 westbound near State Hwy. 62 is reported as being shut down due to a fuel spill.
The Interstate is reported as being at a complete standstill at this time.
