A traffic stop Wednesday night ended in the arrests of two people in the 2300 block of Highway 62 South and Interstate 10, by the Valero gas station.

Lt. Logan Holland, of the Orange Police Department, was on patrol when he spotted a Dodge pickup truck with the front license plate improperly displayed.

Upon pulling the vehicle over, he received permission from the male driver to conduct a search of the vehicle, where he found used syringes and other paraphernalia. He also noticed the female passenger seemed to be impaired.

During questioning, the male admitted to being an addict and was placed into custody.

The female, Somer Hardy, also admitted to using drugs earlier in the day.

William James Delome was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Hardy was charged with public intoxication.

Both were issued a criminal trespass by the employees of the business at the location.

Both are from Orange and were arrested without incident.
