Camdyn Shugart, an eighth-grader at Little Cypress-Mauriceville, was recently selected by USSSA as a unanimous selection for the All-American Games played in Viera, Florida in August.

USSSA splits the United States up into eight regions and Shugart will be on the Southeast Region Team as a pitcher and third baseman.

The Southeast Team is composed of athletes from the Eastern half of Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee.

Shugart currently plays for the Texas Bombers fastpitch organization on their Houston area team.
