Lady Bears Area Round Series with Huffman set

The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears know their Class 4A Area Round playoff opponent and the sites for their best-of-three series at the end of the week.
The Lady Bears (25-4), District 22-4A runnerups, will take on 23-4A champion Huffman (23-11-1) in a best-of-three series at Port Neches-Groves High School and Crosby High School.
Game One is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday at PN-G High School. Game Two is scheduled for Friday at 5 p.m. at the auxiliary field at Crosby with Game Three to follow if necessary.
The Lady Bears defeated Huntington 5-2 and 5-4 in their bidistrict series last week while Huffman hammered Houston Wheatley 17-1.
