SILSBEE — Getting a big 15-strikeout performance from ace Brianna Frenzel, the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears fended off the Huntington Devilettes 5-2 in Game One of their best-of-three Class 4A Region III bidistrict playoff series at Silsbee High School Tuesday night.

Frenzel went the distance on the mound, tossing 103 pitches. She scattered six hits while walking none.
