Elkhart baseball fundraiser aids Battlin’ Bear baseball

LITTLE CYPRESS — The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bear Baseball team received a nice surprise from the Elkhart baseball team.
When Elkhart baseball coach John Adair and the Elkhart baseball community found out about the flood and Hurricane Harvey, Elkhart had a fundraiser and sent the Bear baseball program $2,400 for equipment to help the Bears get through the tough year.
Long-time LC-M coach Steve Griffith and the Bears (24-5) just recently clinched a playoff berth and are still in the hunt for the District 22-4A title with two games remaining in the regular season.
Griffith and the Bears are thrilled about what Elkhart gave. Thank you Elkhart!
