Silsbee edges past Bears, 6-4

SILSBEE — The Silsbee Tigers edged out the LC-M Bears 6-4 in District 22-4A action at Tiger Field Friday evening.

The Tigers (12-12, 3-4) struck for four runs in the bottom of the first to snag the lead but the Bears (23-5, 5-2) answered in the top of the second by tying the game up with four runs of their own.

The Tigers snagged the lead for good with two more runs in the top of the fourth.

Taylor Gilbert had two hits and two runs batted in for the Bears. Reagan Burdette and Jordan Alexander had a RBI apiece for the Bears.

Anthony Bandiero tossed 4 1/3 innings for the Bears and struck out four.

Corbin Johnson went all seven innings for the Tigers, striking out four.

Alex Hardy had three hits for the Tigers while Ben Anderson had two.

The two teams will meet again Tuesday when the Tigers venture to LC-M and Gibbens Field.
