Lady Cards move to No. 8 in state; BC boys also No. 8

Due to their two big 2-0 wins over Little Cypress-Mauriceville last week, the Bridge City Lady Cardinals have moved up to No. 8 in the latest Class 4A State Softball Poll put out by the Texas High School Girls Coaching Association.

The Lady Cardinals (20-7, 5-0) are all alone in first-place in the District 22-4A standings.

The Lady Bears (18-3, 3-2), currently tied with Orangefield for the second-place spot, fell out of the top spot and are currently ranked No. 16.

Beeville A.C. Jones (25-1-1) is ranked No. 1 in the state now.

In baseball, the Bridge City Cardinals (14-7, 3-1) are ranked No. 8 in the Texas High School Baseball Class 4A State Poll. The LC-M Bears (21-4, 3-1) chime in at No. 23 and the Orangefield Bobcats (15-2-1, 4-0) are ranked No. 24.

Argyle (19-0, 2-0)is ranked No. 1 in the state.
