Man arrested in connection with robbery

PRESS RELEASE — On Thursday, March 29, 2018 at around 7:00a.m. Orange County Deputies responded to OJ’s Mobile Mart, located at 9508 Highway 12 in Orange County, Texas in reference to a robbery that just occurred. The suspect fled in an unknown direction after taking a large amount of cash from the clerk at gunpoint.

Investigators who were working the case followed a lead to Vidor where they arrested Zachary Harris for unrelated warrants. During an interview of Harris, he confessed to the robbery at OJ’s Mobile Mart, as well as a robbery on March 17, 2018 at Lakeview Grocery and a robbery in Port Arthur on March 27, 2018. An arrest warrant was issued for Harris and he was charged with the robbery at OJ’s Mobile Mart. Other charges are pending. This robbery, along with other similar cases, is still currently under investigation.
