ORANGEFIELD — A yearly event allows the public to beautify their yards and homes, but it also goes a long way in supporting several programs.

The Orange County Master Gardener’s Annual Bloomin’ Crazy Plant Fair will be held from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m., Saturday, March 24 at Jewel Cormier Park, 8235 FM 1442 in Orangefield. The event is open to the public and will feature a variety of plants.

The event is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the organization, which supports Junior Master Gardeners in schools throughout the county.

Funds are used in a variety of beautification projects, such as improvements to the grounds of the Orange County Courthouse, and educational programs.

Items available for purchase will include perennials, annuals, shrubs, cold-hardy avocados, Texas Superstars and even heirloom vegetables.
