TARKINGTON — The Orangefield Lady Bobcats visited Tarkington Wednesday morning and defeated the Lady Longhorns 9-2.

Kaylee Ancelot got the win, throwing 4 innings without giving up a hit. Ancelot finished with 1 strikeout and 1 walk. Codie Sorge finished the game, giving up 2 earned runs in 3 innings on 3 hits with a walk and 4 strikeouts.

Karlye Bramblett reached base 3 times on 3 walks with a stolen base and a run scored. Kaylee Ancelot went 2 for 4 with a double, 2 runs scored and 2 RBIs. Olivia Grant went 1 for 1 with a double and 2 RBIs. Kinley Gipson went 2 for 3 with her first career homerun, 2 walks, and 2 RBIs. Autumn Frost went 1 for 4 with an RBI. Emma Humplik went 1 for 3 with 2 walks and a run scored. Tiffany Ciancaglione went 1 for 3 with a walk and an RBI. Kristin Broussard reached base twice on two walks with 2 stolen bases.

The Lady Bobcats improve their record to 16-4-1

and open up district play tomorrow at Bridge City with JV at 5 and varsity at 6:30.
