OC Retired Teachers Association meeting

The Orange County Retired Teachers Association will hold its next meeting on Monday, March 12, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 401 37th Street, Orange, Texas. The guest speaker will be Tai Ho of the Lone Star Legal Aid Association. He will speak on legal issues of interest to retirees. Guests are welcome.

Ribbon Cutting

Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a Ribbon Cutting 4 p.m. at Boardwalk Grill located at 109 Fifth Street in Orange.

 

SMA Playdate

It’s Doodle Days at Stark Museum of Art from Noon – 3 p.m. on March 13, 14, 15, and 16. Connect with works of art through drawing games led by SMA Educators, and make new friends with other budding art enthusiasts. Stark Museum of Art is located at 712 Green Ave. in Orange. Admission is free.

Golden K Kiwanis meeting

Golden K Kiwanis will meet from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. in the meeting room of the Salvation Army Building, corner of MLK and Strickland Drives.  Guest speaker is Debbie Hughes, local realtor, discussing the current housing market in Orange after Tropical Storm Harvey six months ago. The public is invited, and coffee will be served.

 

Mah Jongg

Gardening Class

“Texas Superstars” The Carefree Plants for SouthEast Texas will be held at Cormier Park from 9 – 11 a.m. in the Orange County Master Gardener greenhouse. Come and learn about those plants that grow well in our part of Texas and will withstand our heat, humidity and cold coming back year after year. This is open to the public at no charge.
