UPDATE: Wreck in Louisiana blocks Interstate 10 eastbound REOPENED

According to a Texas DPS press release,At this time, all eastbound traffic lanes of Interstate 10 have reopened following multiple crashes in Vinton, Louisiana.

Motorist are advised to use caution and stay alert for slow or stopped traffic in Orange County, Texas and Louisiana.

Traffic Update (12:10 p.m.):
The left lane of I-10 Eastbound between Vinton and the Texas state line is now OPEN. The right lane remains closed for recovery from one of the crashes earlier today.  Motorists can expect delays.

Information on scene from Louisiana State Police, Interstate 10 Eastbound is completely blocked about three and a half miles east of the Texas state line due to two separate crashes.

Traffic is currently backed up several miles into Texas.

Alternate routes include LA 12, US 190, and LA 82.

Troopers are on scene and are working to reopen the roadway.

At this time, there is no time estimation as to when the roadway will reopen, according to Texas DPS press release.
Motorists are advised to find alternate travel routes.  Expect delays.

A wreck involving an 18-wheeler at mile marker 3 in Louisiana has traffic backed up into Texas this morning.

As of 7:30 a.m., it is reported by a person on the scene, the road will be closed for an undetermined amount of time.

Talking an alternative route is suggested.
