Bobcats, Cards to battle at LC-M for 4th spot

The Orangefield Bobcats (16-16, 3-7) and the Bridge City Cardinals (12-17, 3-7) will battle it out for the fourth-place playoff seed out of District 22-4A Friday night at Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School at 7 p.m. after tying for fourth to end the regular season.
The two teams split their 22-4A battles as Bridge City won at home 58-56 in overtime and Orangefield won at home 52-47 last week. The Bobcats defeated the Cardiansl 44-40 in the Bridge City Tournament in late December as every game has been tight.
The winner of the game Friday will take on District 21-4A champion Shepherd (22-8, 7-1) in the Class 4A Region III bidistrict round next week.
