Bobcats wallop H-F to keep playoff hopes alive

HAMSHIRE — The Orangefield Bobcats forced a a play-in game for the fourth seed in the playoffs against the Bridge City Cardinals by defeating the woeful Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns 59-38 Tuesday night at Longhorn Gym.
The Bobcats (16-16, 3-7) tied Bridge City (10-17, 3-7) for the fourth seed and will play later this week to determine who gets the playoff berth.
Aven Lathrop had 19 points and three steals to pace the Bobcat attack against the Longhorns (1-20, 0-10).
Alex Catt collected 12 points and had two blocked shots. Zach Dischler contributed 10 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals while Kaiden DuBose had seven points and Dylan Williams collected six boards.
