Bear golfers compete at Barbers Hill tourney

MONT BELVIEU — The Little Cypress-Mauriceville boys finished 10th at the Barbers Hill Golf Tournament.

The two-day tournament was shortened to a one-day tournament due to rain and course conditions.

The Bears were led by freshman Jack Burke’s 77 as he finished 10th individually.

The 6Class 6A schools were at this tournament as a regional preview.

First-place team with a 307 score was Clear Creek. Cinco Ranch was second 312, and Dawson 312.

The Bears shot 348.
