VIDEO: Hwy. 87 shut down due to holding tanks on fire

Lighting strike hit eight oil holding tanks around 3:30 p.m., near State Hwy 87 in Newton County at County Road 4995, causing a fire and minor oil spill according to Asst. Chief Welch of Newton County ESD1. State Hwy 87 was closed for several hours due to the blaze and attempts to contain the oil spill.
