Four arrested on counterfeit money in Vidor

It began when the Vidor Police Department responded to a report of several counterfeit bills being passed at a Dollar General Store in the 300 block of North Main in Vidor on Wednesday Morning.

Once on scene, police received information that two males and a female passed two $20 bills and a $50 bill that were counterfeit, before officers could finish their investigation they received another call from the Sonic down the road about counterfeit bills passed.

Officers immediately responded to the Sonic Restaurant and located three male persons of interest in the area who had attempted to pass a counterfeit $20 bill. 

Justin Lee Robertson, 31, George N. Cleveland, III, 24, and, Trevor Duane Edwards, 22 were all three arrested on forgery charges and arraigned on $8,000 bond.

Later around 1a.m., Vidor Police responded to the McDonald’s Restaurant in the 700 block of North Main, in Vidor, in reference to a counterfeit $20 being passed.

Once on scene officers made contact with a female occupant in a vehicle who had attempted to pass the counterfeit money. After a search of her vehicle, Police soon learned that she was in possession of the same counterfeit bill as the earlier incident, along with 20 grams of methamphetamine.  

Amber Danielle McShan, 27, was arrested on forgery and possession charges totaling $23,000. 

The serial numbers on each of the $20 bills was ID 83455283C and the serial number on the $50 bill was JJ08812412A.
