The Silsbee girls basketball team is waiting on their fate from the District 22-4A District Executive Committee today.

The Lady Tigers undefeated District 22-4A record of 8-0 is up in the air after it self-reported a violation earlier this week.

Silsbee ISD released a statement on Wednesday acknowledging an ineligible player competed in five district basketball games earlier this season.

The current 22-4A girls hoop standings are Silsbee 8-0, Orangefield 6-2, LC-M 5-3, Bridge City 3-5, Hamshire-Fannett 1-7 and WO-S 1-7.

On Tuesday, January 30, 2018, the Silsbee Tiger Girls Basketball staff discovered that an ineligible player participated in five district basketball games. Upon confirmation, Silsbee Athletics immediately reported the infraction to the District Executive Chair. At this time, the situation is in the hands of the District Executive Committee.
