Burke nabs Jasper Tournament win, Bears capture second

RAYBURN COUNTRY — Little Cypress-Mauriceville freshman Jack Burke claimed his first varsity tournament title Monday as he fired a 72 to win the Jasper Golf Tournament at Rayburn Country Club.
The Bears’ team finished a solid second with a team score of 346.
Nederland won the team standings with a 328 as Bulldog Conner Kemp finished second overall behind Burke with a 76 while Hardin-Jefferson was third with a 358.
Following Burke for the Bears were Blade Broussard (86), Jack Tindel (90), Mason Sterling (98) and Wyatt Wozniak (135).
