City of Vidor Community Spotlight

This week’s City of Vidor Community Spotlight award goes to Q’ing for a Cause. A non-profit organization, Q’ing for a Cause was formed six years ago with a mission to raise money for worthy local causes such as veterans’ groups or individuals who are down on their luck. What’s the best way for a bunch of BBQ cook-off teams to raise money? By having a cook-off competition of course! This weekend, Friday, January 26 and Saturday, January 27, the Big Buc BBQ Bash will be held at the Vidor Pirate Intermediate Football Academy (VIPFA) football fields which are adjacent to the E. Harvey Horn Veterans of Foreign War Post located at 2110 South Main Street in Vidor. The money raised from this event will go to benefit the VPIFA which provides a quality football and cheerleading experience to the youth of the Vidor area. Come out, try some delicious barbecue, and support this worthy cause. For more information, contact Q’ing for a Cause during the day by phone at 409-553-2070 or by email at quingforacause@yahoo.com
